Lerin Russell, LPC
Hi! I’m Lerin Russell, a Licensed Professional Counselor with five years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life’s challenges. My journey began in a school district, where I spent three years as a Special Education Counselor. During that time, I worked closely with children with diverse needs and became well-versed in the IEP and ARD processes. Currently, I provide clinical mental health counseling services at Lufkin Counseling, where I work with children (ages six and up), adolescents, adults, couples, and mothers seeking perinatal mental health support.
My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, autism, relationship concerns, and perinatal mental health. I approach each client with empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for their unique life experiences. I’m passionate about fostering resilience and believe in a holistic view of wellness—incorporating mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being.
Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my husband and our two children, ages 15 and 8. Traveling is one of my favorite pastimes, and I’ve had the joy of living in several places across the U.S. as well as Brazil. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for diverse perspectives and continue to inspire my work with clients every day
